The clinic ensures that the personal information of
everybody who attends is protected. As such we have been accredited by the Health and Social Care Information Centre (HSCIC) for Information Governance.

We need to hold personal information about our patients on our computer records but promise to keep it safe and share it responsibly and only when we have to.
Different members of our teams collect information about our patients, from our administration staff to our doctors and nurses.
All members of staff who have access to patient information have trained in confidentiality and are governed by both a legal and contractual duty to keep our patient information private.
All personal information is held securely and safeguards are in place to prevent inappropriate access and loss.
We may share personal information with other health professionals and will tell you why we are doing that.
In some circumstances, we may be required by law to release patient's details to statutory or other official bodies, for example, if a court order is presented. Patients may ask us to give information to their insurer or for a medical report. Written consent will be required for this.
Please help us to keep your patient details up to date by informing us of any changes to personal circumstances.
We will not disclose any information over the telephone unless we are sure that we are talking to the patient themselves or a person with an appropriate Power of Attorney or guardianship. Information will not be disclosed to family, friends or spouses, unless we have patient's prior consent.
Patients have the right to ask for their personal information not to be shared with others and to see their medical records.
